Good advice brings rewards: Basque branch of Deloitte rounds off 2007 with turnover of 24 million

Last year financial consultants Deloitte's offices in the Basque Country registered global turnover of 24 million euros, representing 20 per cent-plus growth, which company sources say will keep it at the head of the field in the region. Nearly 300 professionals work at the firm's three Basque delegations.

In the region for roughly the last quarter century, the present firm is the result of the merger between Deloitte and Andersen and currently provides audit services and tax advice, as well as acting as business and outsourcing consultants. The Deloitte portfolio includes clients from nearly all sectors of the Basque economy, including industry, finance, construction, energy, telecommunications, the media, healthcare, services and the public sector.

Deloitte offers advice, assessment and auditing services in a range of areas, particularly strategy, processes, internal control, information systems, legal and tax assessment, business transactions and corporate finance. Its leading specialist team in banking and financial services has taken part in some major projects of great interest for Guipúzcoa, involving investments, business deals and consultation on strategy and internationalization.

Apart from its customer services, Deloitte also cooperates in forums and training courses with associations, public organizations, universities, business meetings and a number of publications.
